When i was reading GI (Game Informer Magazine) on page 96 is an article called A Small Fortune in Pixels. I was amazed to read about how much certain (old) video games if remained un-opened and in good condition would sell for today. Here are a few of the games and prices. (I am not going to give you all of the games and prices, you'll just have to buy the magazine to read about the Rest)

Must be un-opened and in mint condition


Suikoden 2
Playstation >Value $288
Not enough copies printed to meet demand.


Final Fantasy 7
Playstation (Black Label) >Value $417
The only rare version is the Black Bar edition in mint condition.
The last sale of an un-opened copy of the game went for $417



Metal Gear Soild 3: Subsistence
Playstation 2 (Red Box) >Value $288
Limited Edition Red Box--incredibly hard to find


I really Recommend GI (Game Informer) Magazine. Buy issue 193 to find out about the rest of the games .
